Well, we have had an eventful two weeks. First, all three of my younger children got pink eye. Pedi called in a prescription for the eye drops and said there was no need to bring them in unless they started running a fever, just use the eye drops and benadryl. If it lasted longer than a week, then bring them in.
Sam's eyes would not clear up, however he never ran a fever. His lasted longer than 8 days. On the 6th day of the eyes and the coughing, he had another tooth break through, so I thought this is what caused it to last so long in him. But, 2 days later, he's still not feeling "up-to-snuff"
I take him to the doctor on Monday morning...the poor baby, turns out he has a double ear infection, congestion in his chest, wheezing in his lungs, and pink eye. So, for the last week we have been medicating him with Augmentin, Prednisolone, albuterol inhaler (with that cute little mask and tube), and continuing with the eye drops.
This is his first illness. Boy, when he does it he does it up right.
We finished the 5 days of the steroid today. 5 more days on the antibiotic. Who knows how long on the inhaler...he is still wheezing at different times of the days.
My little boy is feeling so much better. He is more like himself now...smiling again. (Showing those two new teeth.)
